Sterling Silver & Amethyst Charles Rennie Mackintosh Column Pendant - 30mm (RMSP6107)
Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a gifted artist, designer, craftsman and architect, one of the defining figures of the Glasgow Style and the flowering of Art Nouveau in Scotland. As part of the celebrated group known as 'The Four', his influence on decorative arts remains unmatched.
This column pendant, crafted in solid Sterling Silver, frames the classic Mackintosh contrast in a single elegant composition. Top and bottom, geometric grid details anchor the piece with characteristic architectural precision. Between them, a flowing stem winds through the open frame, bearing stylised heart-shaped leaves; organic, graceful and full of movement. At the centre, a round amethyst sits in a simple bezel setting, its deep violet a natural complement to the botanical forms surrounding it.
Structure and nature, geometry and growth, the essential Mackintosh tension, captured in miniature.
Approximately 30mm x 10mm, weight 2.5g.
