Sterling Silver Celtic Shamrock Earrings - 11mm (SE1721)
The shamrock has been one of the most enduring emblems of Celtic tradition across Scotland and Ireland for centuries, its three-lobed form carrying associations of faith, hope and the natural world that predate its adoption as a national symbol. Within the broader Celtic decorative vocabulary the trefoil form recurs across carved stonework, manuscript illumination and metalwork, its three-part structure connecting it to the symbolic weight placed on threefold forms throughout the tradition. As a stud earring subject, the shamrock translates naturally into a compact, self-contained form with strong visual impact at small scale.
Each earring presents three heart-shaped green cubic zirconia stones arranged in the classic shamrock configuration, one lobe uppermost and two extending outward to either side. Each stone sits in a four-claw setting, the claw tips neat and consistent across all three stones. A small round silver bead at the centre marks the point where the three lobes converge. Below, a slender curved stem in plain silver completes the shamrock silhouette. The stones are a vivid, saturated emerald green, facet-cut to maximise light return. The silver components carry a high mirror polish.
Approximately 1.7g per pair. 925 sterling silver with heart-cut green cubic zirconia stones in claw settings. Push back fitting.
