Sterling Silver Charles Rennie Mackintosh Panel Pendant - 16mm (RMSP6136)
Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a gifted artist, designer, craftsman and architect, one of the defining figures of the Glasgow Style and the flowering of Art Nouveau in Scotland. As part of the celebrated group known as 'The Four', his influence on decorative arts remains unmatched.
This solid panel pendant, crafted in Sterling Silver, pairs two of Mackintosh's most distinctive devices in a clean, graphic composition. On the right, four small square cut-outs run in a precise vertical column, the geometric grid that echoes his architectural interiors. To the left, a stylised stem and drooping floral head are pierced through the metal, their elongated, abstracted form a hallmark of his botanical work.
Where other pieces in the Glasgow Style lean into the rose, this one captures the quieter, more restrained side of Mackintosh; spare, elegant and architectural.
Approximately 16mm x 10mm, weight 1.7g.
